Recognizing a need for a passive park the citizens of Hermantown contacted SAS+Associates to create a Passive Park Master Plan.
The planning process for Hermantown Passive Park set out to meet the long term goals for the community:
• Create a Master Plan that could be used as a planning tool to guide future design.
• Defines the elements of the park
• Assure the Master Plan is integrated into the surrounding community
The process used to develop the Passive Park Master Plan document relied heavily on the active participation of the community. In addition, an extensive public input process was implemented that gave every resident ample opportunity to comment on the plans as they evolved. The Final Recommendations describe master plans for the park that will meet the needs and goals of the community as a whole. SAS+Associates is currently working on the Phase I Construction Documents for this project.
