SAS+Associates created a site plan for the first Community Residential Hospice home developed in northern Minnesota. The house sits on 9.2 acres of wooded land and the design incorporates these assets while providing a welcoming environment of a home setting for residents and families.
Siting the home into the natural setting and limiting the construction allowed for the mature trees to remain in close proximity to the residential rooms located along the back of the building while creating a “residential” front yard welcoming visitors.
The site includes patios screened with vegetation for privacy while allowing views out towards a pond and wooded landscape. An outdoor screened gazebo and an outdoor seating area allow guests to relax in a natural residential setting.
